Hi, I'm Mimi Bloom, and I am a fully qualified counsellor, psychotherapist, hynotherapist and. yoga instructor. I recently moved from the UK where I trained at The University of Salford to Newcastle, Australia, known for its laidback surf lifestyle and stunning beaches and coastline. Making such a huge move was certainly a challenge, and so this last year I have taken time to really reflect on my own mental health, wellbeing, values, and to connect with myself and figure out what makes me truly happy.
I love working with my clients to help them to break free of their pasts, limiting beliefs, and traumas, and to work towards building self esteem, self confidence, healthy boundaries, and exciting and hopeful futures.
So I've started this blog as a way to give some of the information I share with clients to a wider audience. Here you will find topics covering mental health and wellbeing, meditation, yoga and breathwork, tips on many topics from coping with panic to healthy and nutritious recipes that can help boost mood and keep your brain healthy and happy!
I'll also give recommendations for books and other resources I have found particularly helpful for my clients, and answers to questions that I commonly get asked in the therapy room.
