EMDR Intensives
What is an EMDR Intensive?
A highly focused form of EMDR therapy that accelerates healing by providing extended sessions over a shorter period, such as a full day or multiple consecutive days.
Unlike traditional weekly therapy, which spreads treatment over months, an intensive allows clients to work through traumatic memories and distressing experiences more efficiently, making them ideal for individuals who want to make significant therapeutic progress in a short time.
EMDR intensives are particularly beneficial for those dealing with PTSD, anxiety, or past trauma who prefer a more immersive healing approach.

Instead of weekly sessions, a Gottman intensive typically lasts between one to three days and involves deep, focused work on communication, conflict resolution, emotional connection, and trust-building.
When I work with couples in this way, I use the research-based Gottman techniques, such as the Sound Relationship House framework, to assess relationship dynamics and provide personalized interventions.
This approach is especially beneficial for couples in distress, those struggling with recurring conflicts, or partners of for those whose work schedules make it difficult to meet regularly for weekly sessions.
Benefits of a Gottman intensive include faster breakthroughs, a deeper understanding of relationship patterns, immediate skill-building for better communication, and a renewed sense of connection and intimacy.
